After a comprehensive facial, your skin therapist will use a full sculptural technique which releases tension from the collarbone all the way to the scalp. Then, the therapist will put gloves on and do the buccal massage technique where the therapist will press tissue between thumb and forefingers, deeply working the facial muscles, all the way around to include the insides of the lips. 

The sculpting massage manually tones, strengthens and relaxes facial muscles, restoring the natural posture to your face, plus releases the flow of lymph to flush out toxins. Your therapist will be strategically massaging around the jaw area - an area that holds a lot of emotional tension, and by the end of this treatment, you should feel physical relief from the release of this built up tension.

Is the Sculpt technique painful?

The sensation is of course a unique one, that can feel slightly tender at times but generally very relieving. Similar to a massage - your therapist will check in to ensure the pressure is appropriate for you. It is undeniably the most efficient way to massage facial muscles in their entirety, and clients should walk away from the experience with a sense of ‘more space’ in their cheeks and jaw.

I grind my teeth and or/ have TMJ, will this help me? 

We have had a number of clients who choose to receive a Sculpting Facial Experience for the benefit to their TMJ and release to their jaw tension caused by grinding of the teeth.
