What is the difference between an at-home roller & skin needling?

There are several important differences. The Exceed device is a high quality, specially engineered device that ensures client safety as well as effective results. It is both FDA and TGA approved and focuses on needle precision into the skin to ensure that the needle punctures are uniform, instead of frayed which cannot be guaranteed with at home rollers. To operate the machine you have to be specially trained, as it is important to use utmost care and sterility the whole time and also know the pre and post aftercare to ensure the best results. Home needles, depending on their quality, can be frayed or can puncture the skin at the wrong angle. At-home rollers & needling devices tend to be used incorrectly, overused, or unsterilised, causing skin problems rather than benefits.

Will my skin be red after my treatment?

 Yes, your skin will likely be red in the 24 hours after your treatment. The downtime is 24hrs with no sun, no makeup, no pools, no gym & being really careful to not cause inflammation in or disrupt the skin. During this time, your skin barrier is impaired, so paying attention to the after care plan aids the healing process. A pre-treatment plan is also important, such as no fake tan or retinol in the lead up to your treatment. The Dermal Diary team will guide you on the do’s & don’ts.

What if I’m a VIP member?
