There’s SPF in my make up!
This is a common response I get to my question “do you apply SPF daily?” They say it so smugly too, like they are being marked in an exam.
SPF in makeup is not enough. FACT.
The amount that is included in foundation is often just enough to get the product FDA approval and render it legally sellable as an SPF alternative.
Think about it… If you are only using 2 squirts of foundation on your face and the product is concentrated colour where is the volume of SPF to protect you all day?
My advice? Use a specific SPF first, and then apply make-up. Just pretend that there is no SPF in your make-up and then you'll be covered.
“But what if I want to reapply SPF throughout the day?” is usually the next question.
That’s what Zinc Oxide finishing powders are for. It's like wearing a hat on your face, brilliant for ‘on the go, to busy to burn and age’ type of women.
